This program is affiliated with the Colorado Attorney General's office. The web site contains consumer alerts, news articles and fraud prevention information.

Action on Elder Abuse

Established in 1993, this organization promotes the awareness of elder abuse and advocates for the rights of elders throughout the British Isles.

Center of Excellence in Elder Abuse and Neglect

Based at the University of California-Irvine School of Medicine, Program in Geriatrics, the Center locally provides medical, forensic, and victim services to abused and neglected seniors and serves as a "living laboratory" of innovative approaches. Statewide, the Center serves as a central source of technical assistance, best practice information, multidisciplinary training, useful research, and relevant policy issues in California, and is affiliated with the Elder Abuse Forensic Center.

Consortium for Research on Self-Neglect/Crest

Institute on Violence, Abuse and Trauma/IVAT

The Center is based within the School of Social Work at the University of Minnesota The primary mission of Minicava is to support education, research and access to information regarding violence. Links are provided for resources on more than 50 topic areas and include activism, elder abuse, child abuse, domestic violence, workplace violence and youth violence.

National Adult Protective Services Association

This is the home site of NAPSA, a partner of the NCEA. Among other resources, it provides links to publications, training, and educational materials.

National Center on Elder Abuse

The National Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA) is funded the Administration on Aging. Link to this site for information regarding the latest developments in research, promising practices, legislative efforts, and other initiatives addressing elder abuse and neglect.

National Citizens' Coalition for Nursing Home Reform (NCCNHR)

Since 1975, NCCNHR has worked to improve the quality of life for nursing home residents, and to promote a consumers' presence in the long-term care sector. NCCNHR's Web site provides access to publications and resources for families and individuals, professionals, and volunteers, and fosters education and advocacy training. The National Long Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center is accessible through this site.

National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life (NCALL)

National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse

The National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (NCPEA) is an association of researchers, practitioners, educators, and advocates dedicated to protecting the safety, security, and dignity of America's most vulnerable citizens. It was established in 1988 to achieve a clearer understanding of abuse and provide direction and leadership to prevent it. The Committee is one of six partners that make up the National Center on Elder Abuse, which is funded by Congress to serve as the nation's clearinghouse on information and materials on abuse and neglect.
